Best Essential Oils for Anxious Feelings
I bet we’ve all experienced anxious feelings! Bad day at work, an argument, our child having a temper tantrum. Hormonal issues, digestive issues, or a lack of sleep. Christmas!
All sorts of things contribute to anxious feelings…
And they’re really are not nice!
But be encouraged… I’ve had loads of my own successes and I’ve heard many success stories from other people, using essential oils to support themselves when struggling with anxious feelings.
This post is all about some of the best oils and blends to use when you’re struggling with those horrible feelings, but if you’ve found other oils helpful, please drop a comment below for us to see what worked for you.
You can diffuse the oils, or dilute them in a carrier oil and rub them on your wrist, your feet, or the back of your neck. Try adding them to a bath for extra relaxation and pampering at the end of a long day.

Balance Grounding Blend
This is a beautiful calming and balancing blend of Ho wood, blue tansy, and blue chamomile essential oils, which helps with the anxious feelings side of things, and frankincense which helps to promote emotional balance and grounding. It can be a lovely start to the day. And if anxious feelings try to rise up, try applying it to your wrist and neck.
PastTense Tension Blend
A wonderful blend of wintergreen, lavender, peppermint, frankincense, cilantro, marjoram, Roman chamomile, basil leaf, and rosemary leaf essential oils.
Helps to promote balanced and grounded emotions especially when you’re feeling stressed and life feels overwhelming. You can use for a massage diluted in fractionated coconut oil. Apply to the bottom of your feet for quicker effects.
Peace Reassuring Blend
This contains gorgeous ingredients of the most relaxing oils: amazing lavender, marjoram, vetiver, and ylang ylang. A great combination for helping you when anxious feelings try to rise up. Simply apply one drop your hands with a carrier oil and rub them together, and inhale deeply. Try diffusing if you’re struggling to sleep.
Lavender Peace (Serenity in the US) Restful Blend
Restful oils lavender, ylang ylang, marjoram, and Roman chamomile, combined with the warm aromas of Hawaiian sandalwood and vanilla bean. Great to use in a stressful situation. Diffuse it for a sweet warm smell which can help to reduce feelings of tension and stress. Super relaxing in a lovely bath if you are feeling a little (or a lot) weary!
Individual essential oils:
Lovely calming aroma and properties. Use in a relaxing bath, apply to your temples and to the back of your neck, or diffuse.
Incredible oil with so many properties to help you. Helps to reduce negative feelings including stressful ones. Need a pick-me-up? Try applying frankincense to the bottom your feet.
Calming oil which can be super helpful when dealing with anxious feelings. This is one of my go-to oils for anxious feelings.
Beautiful oil and properties, can help support and lift mood, and has a calming effect.
Vertiver has a grounding effect on emotions and it’s really helpful with anxious feelings.
A sweet aroma, this soothing oil helps to calm the mind.
